York Flooring Details
York floors are designed in a two-layer format. The surface layer is 100% oakwood while the second layer is a combination of multiple layers of plywood press-glued together. This forms the core layer of the York floors.
The top layer is also the wear layer, which determines how long your floor will last and how tough a use it can withstand. The York floors feature a 3mm thick wear layer, which means that you’ll be able to use treatments such as sanding and refinishing approximately twice or thrice on these floors during their lifetime.
Sanding and refinishing are important as they help rectify the flaws that occur over time. Say, your floor has numerous dents and scratches after years of use. A sanding and refinishing job will bring back your floor to its former glory.
The immensely strong core of York engineered floors gives you a highly stable floor. These floors are less susceptible to changes in temperature, humidity and moisture. They do not exhibit extreme changes such as expanding, shrinking or shifting due to these changes. So, you’ll have a safe and highly stable floor during all seasons and environmental conditions.
Being engineered wood, this is moisture-resistant and a great option for spaces such as kitchens and basements. These floors are also compatible with underfloor heating.
York floors combine the solid beauty of natural wood with great practical benefits, which makes these floors a smart investment and ideal for modern lifestyles.
