If your room is a square or rectangle you just measure the length and width of your room and multiplying them together. So if your room is 5 metres long and 4 metres wide, the area will be 20 square meters because 5 x 4 = 20
If your room isn't square or rectangle then we recommend splitting the room into small squares or rectangles and them adding them all together to get the overall area of the room. For example, 5 meters x 4 meters = 20, 2 meters x 2 meters = 4, 1 meter x 1 meter = 1. So, add 20 + 4 + 1 = 25 square meters in total.
