Laminate Flooring Advice
Laminate flooring is a great affordable alternative to solid and engineered wood flooring. Created using a clever lamination process, each plank consists of several layers and features a realistic looking wooden surface. This is credited to the photographic layer which looks just like real wood. A transparent layer protects the photographic layer, which is also scratch resistant to protect it against wear and tear.
The majority of laminate flooring is created with HDF (High Density Fibreboard). This means the floors are resistant against temperature and moisture changes, making them suitable for use with underfloor heating. There is also a back layer included in their design, preventing against warping and moisture.
